Mostly Ups

Everybody told us that there would be ups and downs with a preemie. Thanks to a LOT of prayers, we've had a lot more ups than downs lately. Silas has been doing really well! As of Friday, he started eating out of a bottle! Yeah! We have pictures, of course!

Yesterday we went in to the hospital and they were moving him out of his isolette and into a crib! This is a BIG deal, as it means that he is maintaining his temperature on his own and now weighs enough. Oh so proud were we!

Our excitement was rather short-lived though. This morning...a call from the doctor. Never really good. Silas failed the crib test and is back in the incubator. And he is getting a blood transfusion today. Hopefully that will be the answer for getting some meat on those awfully LONG bones!

We still couldn't be any happier. God is so good...especially amongst the changes...
